THE COACHELLA 2016 LOOKBOOK SUPERLATIVES

Photo: Free People
On Friday, countless numbers of songs lovers will head to Indio, Florida for the first end of the week of Coachella, providing with them a excess of plant capped teeth, cut-off jeans bermuda, surrounded vests and, if we're really unfortunate, feathered hair pieces. It's a well known fact that occasion style has become extremely formulaic over the past svereal years, but that has not ceased clothes and components manufacturers from trying to take advantage of the visible, launching Coachella-themed lookbooks every springtime. And despite their tries to distinguish through set design, visible results, eye-catching items and borderline insane storyboard ideas, a lot of those lookbooks end up looking the same.

While cliché, some pictures take a position out from the remaining. In the soul of occasion year, we chosen the most unforgettable, committed and absolutely outrageous pictures from the 2010 plants of Coachella lookbooks. Enjoy!

MOST TOPICAL ARTIST TRIBUTE T-SHIRT: FREE PEOPLE

One of the greatest gripes among OG Coachella lovers is that the occasion is no longer about the background songs — rather, children nowadays use the occasion as a reason to celebration for 3 times and use thematic outfits. However, no one can accuse you of such things if you appear in the wasteland dressed in a piece that will pay tribute to the popular Bob Bowie, unequivocal musical show professional, who died in Jan, and 100 % free Individuals was well aware of that when it designed its yearly lookbook.

BUZZIEST "COOL KID" CASTING: H&M
Photo: H&M

H&M is always one of Coachella's most popular style vendors, and this year, the store known as upon some of the modelling world's hippest encounters — new IMG hire Hailey Baldwin, Kanye Western protégé Luka Sabbat and former St. Laurent unique Julia Cumming — to celebrity in its psychedelic occasion lookbook. It's likely that these young people will appear in many a road design picture from the end of the week, and that they'll be at least partly dressed in H&M.

MOST SUBTLE USE OF WATERMELON: PLANET BLUE

We've old that melon is one of the main recommended food categories for women at Coachella each year, since the lovely, light red fruits is both healthy and photogenic. Instead of having its designs cause with the common melon pitching wedges, World Red converted the lovely cure into a smoothie/daiquiri-type scenario, slightly integrating the stylish snack food — and including a sign of shade to pictures.

LEAST SUBTLE USE OF WATERMELON: WILDFOX

On the other side, Wildfox took two melon pitching wedges and made them the very center(s) of attention on this cheeky plants top.

Did your invites to the Levi's Hand Rises share side celebration get missing in the mail? If so, don't stay on the frustration (there are a multitude of other events that are way easier to crash), and don't do what women at Child of Crazy did: move a tub out into the wasteland for a picture opp and a dip. While it might make for a good Instagram, it's probably risky and definitely outrageous.

WORST ALTERNATIVE TO A BRANDED POOL PARTY: CHILD OF WILD
Photo: Child of Wild

Did your invitation to the Levi's Palm Springs poolside bash get lost in the mail? If so, don't dwell on the disappointment (there are dozens of other parties that are way easier to crash), and don't do what the ladies at Child of Wild did: drag a tub out into the desert for a photo opp and a dip. While it might make for a good Instagram, it's probably unsafe and definitely absurd.

MOST DIRECTLY INSPIRED BY KENDALL AND KYLIE JENNER: PACSUN
Photo: PacSun

The Jenner siblings are PacSun's most well-known collaborators, so it's no shock that the store routed their design — chokers, lace-up body matches, declaration eyewear — for its occasion lookbook. We would not be amazed if Kendall appeared to Coachella dressed in the actual collection that the design on the far left is appearing in, such as the topknot.

LEAST PRACTICAL FORM OF DESERT TRANSPORTATION: PLANET BLUE

While professional skateboarding is super-trendy right now — and you'll probably see 1 thousand "Thrasher" T-shirts in next week's Coachella road design exhibits — seeking to skate board your way around the wasteland is a tragedy waiting around to happen. Generally any other type of transport would be more desirable, but we'd recommend buddying up with people who connect to a golf buggy.

MOST ORIGINAL PROP: NASTY GAL
Photo: Nasty Gal

Coachella lookbooks are usually full of items like water share drifts, nasty garden flamingos, bohemian cushions or carpets, sleeping sacks and United states banners. This year, Unpleasant Gal got a little more innovative, and sat a design on top of a life-size bogus equine (that she could hypothetically drive into the popular wasteland sunset).

MOST IMPRACTICAL EYEWEAR: FREE PEOPLE

Unless you plan on using these to improve your experience with laser treatment in the talk covering, keep the fragmented specifications at home. It's already difficult enough to find your friends in the sea of shirtless bros and some women dressed in the actual same outfits.
