In yet another instance of the fashion system shifting to cater to consumers and/or Los Angeles becoming an increasingly important fashion hub, Moschino announced plans to hold a runway show — where it will unveil both its men's spring 2017 and women's resort 2017 collections — in LA in June. While the timing is more or less in line with the traditional calendar, the format won't be: In addition to combining both genders, the show will also be open to the public.

It will headline the first-ever Made Los Angeles, a two-day event produced by the people who brought you Made Fashion Week, a platform for emerging designers during New York Fashion Week. This event sounds like it will be pretty different, though: Along with the Moschino show, Tyler the Creator will stage a runway presentation for his clothing line Golf Wang. There will also be "30+ pop-up shops from visionary fashion designers, artists and creatives." Any interested parties can buy tickets; prices are tbd, but if you'll be in LA on June 10 and 11, head here to be kept abreast when more info is released.

Since hiring Jeremy Scott, whose home base is in LA, Moschino has been a pioneer in the consumer-facing shift, releasing seasonal "see now, buy now" capsule collections in tandem with every Milan Fashion Week runway show.
