Emma Stone will appear on Vogue's November cover, the magazine revealed on Friday morning. She's currently promoting her upcoming musical movie La La Land (starring alongside Ryan Gosling) and follows Lupita N'yongo's second October cover (in a row).

Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Stone sports a pixie cut for the cover. A wig, we presume, since she's had longer hair in recent public appearances and throughout the inside editorial that accompanies the cover. (Black hair, too!) That's plenty of proof to go along with Vogue's declaration that Stone is the "ultimate hair chameleon."

Given that it's the magazine's election-month cover, and considering Anna Wintour's strong presence in current presidential politics, the cover unsurprisingly incorporates a patriotic theme. Stone sports a Michael Kors Collection crop top sweater with her hands up to her face. Her eyes are scarily wide with the word "Vote" right next to them. It's tense times out here, and Stone's face says it all. (Fittingly, there's a Vogue story on teen anxiety, too.) And in case you're wondering, writer Jason Gay noted that she "announced her unequivocal support for Hillary Clinton" during their interview.

The photo shoot follows Stone throughout a studio lot in Burbank, wearing dresses by Gucci (twice), Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta and Michael Kors Collection, as well as full looks by Bottega Veneta, Dior and Coach 1941.
