HOW TO WEAR A SUIT TO THE AIRPORT, ACCORDING TO KATE MIDDLETON AND ELLE FANNING

Airport style, at least with famous people, has become a well-documented art. Most opt for more put-together ensembles, usually with the help of a stylist, while others don't really give a damn despite the high chance of being photographed. We come across so many celebrity airport looks at a time that we, too, don't really give a damn. But two of the most recent ones we've seen involve a suit, bare feet and a royal. So we're going to talk about it, people!

Kate Middleton just wrapped up her first-ever solo tour as the Duchess of Cambridge. She traveled to the Netherlands for a number of public appearances and on her way back to the U.K., the Daily Mail reported that KMid flew commercial via British Airways. Commercial! (Read: Not a private jet, or a "PJ" as they say on the show "Atlanta.")

Middleton's outfit of choice is a bespoke two-piece suit by Catherine Walker in a pastel blue, paired with her staple accessories: nude pumps and a matching clutch. Her hair was perfectly coiffed into a low bun (with the help of a hair net) and finished with a pair of pearl earrings. It's certainly what you would expect from the Duchess, even if she's flying like a commoner.

Then we have Elle Fanning, who arrived at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The actress also wore a pastel-hued suit for her travels. Designed by Vika Gazinskaya, the pink jacket and trousers are a much more relaxed and menswear-inspired fit than what Middleton wore. Plus, Fanning casually wore her hair down, along with glasses and, er, no shoes. Of course, she took to Instagram to explain why: "Strolling LAX barefoot. Feet too swollen and blistered to cram in my heels. No backup shoes in my carry on. #freethefoot," says the caption. Celebrities and royals, they're just like us.

With the holidays slowly but surely approaching, chances are you'll find yourself at an airport, too. Take a style tip from Middleton and Fanning and give the monochrome suit a try. Do it! Come on! Though, we highly suggest you stick with wearing shoes until you reach the security line.
